Welcome to the Information Design Conference 2012.
SORRY – ALL TICKETS NOW SOLD.
For nearly thirty years, the Information Design Conferences have been a great place to discuss and debate information design. Look at the Call for Papers (next tab) to get an idea of the conference's scope.
The conference is organised by the Information Design Association, and in 2012, for the first time, we are in partnership with the International Institute for Information Design.
Information Design Conferences always feature intelligent debate, great networking, a broad set of approaches, and a blend of research and practice.
As in 2007 and 2009, the conference setting is the Restoration grandeur of the University of Greenwich in London, in buildings designed by Sir Christopher Wren. And we will hold our traditional conference dinner in the historic Trafalgar Tavern, overlooking the Thames.
Click on the Programme tab to see the programme, or download it as a PDF. It's a packed schedule, with presenters drawn from 19 different countries, covering themes that include Wayfinding, Infographics, Health information and Collaborative design. Per Mollerup, author of books such as Wayshowing and Collapsibles, will be the Keynote speaker.
NEW ANNOUNCEMENT: Related event on wayfinding and the Olympic Games
We've been working together with the Sign Design Society (SDS), who are running a one day conference on wayfinding and the 2012 Olympic games. People who attend one event will get a discount on the other. The SDS event is on 11 April in the same location. Click the image below to find out more:
