Most writing retreats involve going to the middle of nowhere and hoping to get some writing done..... and usually leaving with nothing much accomplished.

Write in Edinburgh involves coming to the very heart of this UNESCO city of literature and being inspired by its historic surroundings to get creative!

Four days of workshops and evening events to whet your author's inner appetite and get you writing. The aim of this event is to produce a short piece to be included in an anthology.

Please arrive at the Engine Shed at around 9 each morning to have a pre-workshop coffee and chat. Although our workshops kick off at 09.20 its always nice to start the day with a hot drink and scone!
