2nd Annual Unite and Wear White
January 11, 2012
The Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking is proud to host the 2nd Annual Unite and Wear White campaign on 1-11-12, National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. We have partnered with our entire TN Team of NGOs and passionate concerned citizens all over the world once again to unite together and raise awareness about human trafficking. How?
We are each wearing something white on 1-11-12 to be a light for those trapped in darkness. Human trafficking is the #2 crime in the world with estimates up to hundreds of thousands of victims trapped in sex and labor trafficking worldwide. This crime affects men, women and children. Domestic and immigrant populations. It affects big cities and smaller towns. The reality is...
Human trafficking is alive and well!
But we can do something about this. We don't have to sit back and ignore innocent lives losing their freedom to the greed of others. We can choose to be the voice for those who can't speak for themselves.
On National Human Trafficking Awareness Day, we encourage everyone to wear something white to be a light for those trapped in darkness. If your group is wearing white, blue, red or any other color, it doesn't matter...because we will be united to help raise awareness against this vicious crime. This event is being held worldwide!
Last year we had participants from 38 states and 9 countries.
Are you going to make sure your area is represented?
Remember to spread the word...
Please note: This event is being held world-wide, wherever you are on 1-11-12. Just commit to wearing something white (blue or red) on this day to help raise awareness about human trafficking. It's that simple!
