Q: What is Twestival 2009?
A: Twestival is a world-wide event held on Feb. 12
each year. It started in the U.K. and other cities across the globe
last year and was organized in less than two weeks. The power of
social media makes that possible. Twestival is like a
"tweet-up" of local Twitter users and others in the online
community, but it's much bigger and supports a social cause. (If
you're not familiar with Twitter, refer to the last question).
Q: What charity does it support?
A: 100% of the proceeds from these events world-wide
supports the charity called charity:water. Charity:water is a charity
that brings clean, safe drinking water to developing countries. You
can read more about the charity here: http://www.charitywater.org/
Q: Where will this event be held locally and when?
A: It will be held on Feb. 12, when all cities across
the world are holding the same event.
