TechPitch4.5 is an evening pitch event created by 2Pears, in
order to showcase some of the tech startups, which have been taking
part in the UKTI pitch-training workshops in the past 6 months.
TechPitch4.5 will be held at TechHub on 10th February 2011, with
TechCrunch Europe’s editor Mike Butcher as the MC for the evening.
The evening will kick off with a panel of entrepreneurial
experts as oracles for some crystal-ball gazing as to what 2011 will
bring, in particular for tech startups and the business environment.
The sooth-saying session will be followed by the main attraction of
the evening: the quick-fire pitching by 10 tech startups, led
by Mike Butcher, editor of TechCrunch Europe.
The discussion and pitching will be followed by drinks and networking.

Wendy is an entrepreneur, technologist, designer and mother.
She is Founder and CMO of fast growth software company
Moonfruit which provides the tools for SME's and artisans to
build ‘Beautiful websites, simply.’ She founded
www.moonfruit.com in 1999, as CEO raising significant venture
capital from Macromedia and LVMH. Moonfruit was sold to Gandi
Group in 2005 where Wendy became Marketing Director but recently
it was spun back out as a separate company, raising $2.25m from
Stephens(US) in Sept 2010 for accelerated international growth.
Katy Turner, Eden Ventures
Katy is an associate at Eden Ventures, one of the leading
early stage funds in Europe. Katy joined Eden in '08 to bring
product expertise to the team. She sources deals for Eden as well
as working with the investment portfolio.
She joined the Eden team from Orange, where she worked for 8
years in a variety of national and international marketing roles,
from product development through to product management, product
marketing and segment strategy.

Ian is editorial director at Crimson Business and responsible

Rob Wirszycz, specialist chairman/advisor & angel
Rob works as non-exec chairman or strategy advisor for a number
of software, IT services, communications, media, and online
companies, ranging from start-ups, through fast growth, to public
companies and global majors. Rob has experience in and can talk a
good game about outsourcing, managed services, telecoms, software,
social media, games, and security. Outside of the tech world Rob
participates in ventures such as non-alcoholic adult drinks, indoor
climbing centres, and fine art. In the past, Rob has worked for EDS,
Intellect, and a ton of other organisations in the UK, Japan and Kenya.
Milo Yiannopoulos, The Telegraph
Milois a technology columnist for The Telegraph who
specialises in the internet, copyright, piracy and European

Rules of engagement for 2Pears’ events
Pitching Companies
Pitches at 2Pears events are free-of-charge for the pitching
companies, which means that the person pitching receives a
complimentary ticket for the event. All other company members and
interested parties will be required to purchase tickets at best
available rate, to attend the event.
Tickets
Due to strong demand for tickets, we regret that tickets to events
are not transferable nor refundable. If multiple tickets are purchased
by one person, under one name, the guests need to arrive together with
the purchaser in order to attend.
