    techpitch4.5 is an evening pitch event created by 2Pears, in order to showcase some of the latest tech startups, which have been taking part in the UKTI pitch-training workshops in the past 6 months.

    techpitch4.5 will be held at the Bootlaw offices (The Auditorium at Pinsent Masons, 30 Crown Place, EC2A)on 25th May 2011, with Bootlaw's co-founder Danvers Baillieu chairing the event.

    The evening will feature a discussion with Eric van der Kleij, Tech City Investment Organisation, followed by the quick-fire pitching by selected startups and ensuing grilling by a panel of expert judges. The discussion, pitching and judging will be followed by drinks and networking.

    Juding panel:

    - Danvers Baillieu,co-founder of www.bootlaw.comand senior associate at law firm Pinsent Masons LLP, representing many web startups and technology companies.

    - Megumi Ikeda, executive director at Comcast Interactive Capital (CIC) a $500 million venture capital fund focused on broadband, consumer web, advanced advertising, and enterprise businesses.   

    - Eric van der Kleij, CEO of Tech City Investment Organisation

    - Amine Laouedj, associate at goetzpartners CORPORATE FINANCE, an independent advisory firm covering the Technology, Media and Digital Media spaces across both the US and Europe, and assisting companies and shareholders in fund raisings, exit strategies, disposals and acquisitions.

    - Glenn Shoosmith, founder of Bookingbug

    - Zuzanna Pasierbinska-Wilson, founder of Silicon Stilettos, VP Marketing at Huddle. Huddle is the leader in cloud collaboration and content management for the enterprise.

    - Grace Yusuf, founder and CEO of KyuBid.coman online dating site that lets you bid for dates. Prior to founding KyuBid, Grace worked as a banker to large financial institutions advising on fixed income financing structures.

    Interested in pitching? How to apply to pitch at techpitch 4.5:

    By getting up on stage and pitching your business idea and model, in this case to the panel of experts we have put together for techpitch 4.5, you will gain exposure and interest from both potential users and potential funders, as well as from media in general. And you get to practise and receive immediate feedback on your pitch.

    The pitch session is not about achieving funding immediately, but gaining interest, making connections, and hopefully starting relevant discussions, so if you like the idea of pitching you will be good!

    Pitches at 2Pears events are free-of-charge for the pitching companies, which means that the person pitching receives a complimentary ticket for the event. All other company members and interested parties will be required to purchase tickets at best available rate, to attend the event.

    Rules of engagement for 2Pears’ events

    Pitching Companies

    Pitches at 2Pears events are free-of-charge for the pitching companies, which means that the person pitching receives a complimentary ticket for the event. All other company members and interested parties will be required to purchase tickets at best available rate, to attend the event. 

    Tickets

    Due to strong demand for tickets, we regret that tickets to events are not transferable nor refundable. If multiple tickets are purchased by one person, under one name, the guests need to arrive together with the purchaser in order to attend.
