SHINE made its debut in May 2008, in a warehouse on London's Southbank.

300 participants joined in. 55 contributors ran 70 sessions in a spontaneous learning format. Old Business met New Business. Social entrepreneurs met funders. An environment of pitching, peer-to-peer learning and idea development provided the accelerator that grassroots social entrepreneurs need.

So we're doing it again.

The Big Issue - One of the original and most famous social enterprises. Tackling the underlying issues which cause homelessness, and supporting vendors in their journey away from the streets. Since its creation The Big Issue has provided services and referrals to address issues around housing, health, finances, education and employment. It also exists to support vendors in fulfilling their personal aspirations.

Social Enterprise Magazine - part of Society Media, Social Enterprise magazine is designed to bring together the huge range of individuals and organisations in the social enterprise movement in a space where they can learn about and inspire one another – and tell the rest of the world what they’re missing.

UnLtd World - an online platform that connects social entrepreneurs and empowers the way information is exchanged within the social entrepreneurship market.

SHINE collaborates with some of the best public and private sector organisations who are directly engaged with the development of Social Enterprise in the UK.
