Participate as a Live or Virtual Attendee
Because space is limited, we can't accommodate everyone at the live
events. We also realize that there's a lot going on during Oracle
OpenWorld. Don't worry, even if you can't make the live event, you can
still register as a Virtual Attendee and participate and view all of
the action online. Check this site for updates, videos, presentation
slides, the 20 Good Ideas Black Paper, and more.
Bigger and Better
This year, we are taking Oracle Closed World to the next level.
We're going bigger and better. That means more beer, more technical
goodness and three exciting Keynotes.
What's on the Agenda? Living Agenda
-
FIVE-MINUTES-OF-FAME - Any attendee can get up and
present a technical solution (5-minute time limit) to the
group for admiration.
-
FIVE-MINUTES-OF-HELP - Any attendee can get up and
pose a technical problem (5-minute time limit) to the group for
help.
-
20 Good Ideas Black Paper - From the inception
of the OCW in 2007, Mogens goal was to come away with 20 good ideas.
Now you too can contribute and have access to these ideas in
the form of our 1st Annual 20 Good Ideas Black Paper (No white
papers at our conference!).
Black Paper Submission Guidelines: Submissions should
be 100-1,000 words long; due to space constraints, we ask that
submissions have a specific focus as opposed to any overarching
database principles. Submissions can range from intermediate to
advanced-level skills, tricks, hacks, etc. and should include the
actual code and queries used (screenshots and other graphics are also
acceptable). The Oracle Closed World editorial team reserves the right
to decline any submitted tips based on content and/or space.
Feel free to submit more than one tip!
Please include one or two sentences about yourself along with
a web address of your choice (e.g. your blog).
Please send submissions to elias.terman@embarcadero.com
Submissions are due by Monday, September 27th.
-
Awards - What would a conference be without
some awards? Your FIVE-MINUTES-OF-FAME, technical presentation
or Good Idea submission automatically gives you a
shot at one of our coveted awards including our most revered
"That'll Never Work. Oh, but it Did! Award"
