Event Description:
It’s the year 2011, so we’re all using social media
tools to connect with our customers. GameGround
, an NYC-based startup that helps gamers connect, share, and
compare their gaming life, and the NY Gaming Meetup
, a platform for collaboration around the business and development
of the gaming industry in New York, are hosting a roundtable of
NY-based gaming executives to discuss how social media has impacted
various elements of their businesses, and what’s working for them.
From 6:30 to 7:30, we invite you to join current and former
executives from heavyweights like AOL, Blizzard Entertainment,
MTV Networks, and Rockstar Games as well
as participants from some of the next great NY gaming companies like
4mm games, GameGround, The New York Gaming Meetup,
and OMGPOP. In a casual, interactive
discussion, they will help identify social media trends as they relate
to gaming and will share their insights – we’re sure
you’ll walk away with some interesting ideas!
If you work in games, play games, have an interest in the gaming
industry, or just want to meet some cool people, WE SUGGEST YOU ATTEND
After the panel, you’re invited to stay for a happy hour
from 7:30pm to 9:30pm for some networking and fun. We’ll be
serving up free beer, wine, and light snacks, as well hosting some
social-media inspired games - with cool prizes for participants.
