Smartest House in world’s Smartest region (part of Brainport’s bid and jury visit for the Smartest Region)

The Smartest House showcases the daily use of latest technology available on the market in order to support people to maximise their posibilities when confronted with medical conditions and limitations. The Smartest House is used as an experience lab  in many European research projects.

Living Lab Eindhoven Health & Wellbeing (part of Brainport’s bid and jury visit for the Smartest Region)

How can we involve and encourage citizen to take responsibility over their way of living? Sport & Fitnes programs supported by a virtual coach, body sensoring & use of health Kiosks to monitor physical progress are ways of living more healthily. These elements come togehter in a setting of an elderly home where people organise and operate these programs themselves.

Visit 3:

Workshop “ What If ? – A sneak preview of Strijp-S: Creating a Public Lighting Experience”

During the workshop we will briefly introduce the Masterplan for the public lighting experience for Strijp-S  - with emphasis given to the projects in the early stages of development. We will introduce and even demonstrate a number of never-been-seen-before concepts and prototypes from the plan which together challenge the standard approach to ‘public lighting’ and in particular the recognized typology of public lighting. The projects have been inspired by a mix of creativity and sustainability. In other words . . . what if we want fewer lamps; what if public lighting is not attached at regular intervals to a lamp post ? What happens if public lighting becomes Dynamic, Personal, Social ? Can Public lighting concepts add a new dimension to City Branding ? What if the citizen can introduce their own elements to a system? What if the control of the lighting becomes a group activity?
