 ience. The events \nare organised twice a year to bring together London’
 s vibrant digital media \ncommunity\, giving those who are normally comm
 unicating through Twitter the \nopportunity to meet each other face-to-f
 ace and build on the relationships \nthey have made online and to raise 
 money for charity.\nTwestival Local London started with a bang! The proc
 ess to select a local \ncharity to support resulted in 23 nominations\, 
 with 4050 Twitterers voting \nand nearly 7000 views of the voting page w
 ithin five days. As well as a \nhuge buzz\, John Cleese tweeted about it
 \, adding fuel to the frenzy.\nChildLine\, the free 24-hour phone counse
 lling service for children\, run by \nthe NSPCC\, is the charity we’re s
 upporting. We’ll be fundraising and a \nlaunching a drive to help them r
 ecruit more volunteers to staff their phone \nline and new online advice
