  • IPPNW World Congress

    19th World Congress 2010
August 25th-30th, 2010 in Basel, Switzerland

Nuclear disarmament is gaining new momentum in the policies of the new US administration. The vision of both presidents Obama and Medvedev of a "world without nuclear weapons" is remarkable. The IPPNW congress, meeting a few months after the NPT Review Conference, will first foster contact and dialogue between mainstream security experts, practitioners who have turned to supporting nuclear abolition and civil society supporters of nuclear disarmament such as IPPNW members. Secondly, it will facilitate contact between nonaligned Switzerland, other disarmament-willing NATO member governments and other countries.

Please find further information on the official website of IPPNW: www.ippnw2010.org
