"Houston @ SXSW"
aims to bring Houston's Film,
Interactive/Tech, and Music fans and communities together under one
roof on March 17
at GRUV
in Austin
for everyone to enjoy and show
their support during SXSW. The event is
FREE and open to everyone (no badge necessary!) in
the spirit of
highlighting and promoting the
great innovations, talent, culture and community that Houston has to offer.
“Houston @ SXSW” will run 12pm-2am and
feature a day-long wrap party for Film and Interactive plus
kick-off event for Music. Event highlights include Emerging
Filmmaker and "The Territory" Film screenings
curated by Michelle Mower of SWAMP (Southwest
Alternate Media Project); Interactive/Tech presentations
curated by Marc Nathan of Houston Technology Center and
Grace
Rodriguez of AYN Brand;
and Music performances by Houston bands curated
by Matthew Wettergreen of Revelry Report (KTRU)
and Caroline Collective.
We strongly believe in supporting
and promoting the great innovations, talent, and community that
Houston has to offer; and aim to bring that all together under one
roof for everyone to experience at SXSW.
To back that, "Houston
@ SXSW" is FREE and open to everyone - no badge
necessary! - but we need Sponsors to help defray costs, make the
event happen, and ensure the best experience and exposure for
everyone participating. If you can help us in supporting Houston
and its cultural communities, please contact
