  • Pitch! Preparation Workshop - 7th April 2009

Pitch! Workshop – 7th April 2009, Sponsored by UK Trade & Investment

The TechCrunch event on the 21st April 2009 will provide a small number of start up companies with the opportunity to pitch to investors and key industry people. These people are frequently being pitched to and often complain about the quality of the presentations they see.

The preparation workshop that is held at British Library IP & Business Centre on 7th April 2009 is designed to make sure that your pitch hits the mark. Topics covered will include

    • How to put the pitch presentation together and what to include
    • Guidance and feedback on delivery skills
    • Overcoming nerves
    • How to maximise the networking opportunity at the event

Julie Collins will facilitate the workshop and has worked with many different companies across different sectors - including IT, Creative industries and Environmental goods and services - to prepare pitches to international companies and BBC production companies for example.

If you are interested in participating in the Pitch! workshop, please contact petra (at) twistedtree.co.uk. Only qualified startups may apply to participate in this workshop. Startups will be able to chose to join the morning session (10.00-13.00)or the afternoon session (14.00-17.00). A maximum of 2 participants per startup may attend. Please note that participation in the Pitch! workshop does not guarantee that your startup will be pitching at TechCrunch Pitch! on 21st April 2009. The TechCrunch editorial team reserves the right to select the pitching startups.
