    Australia’s oldest family owned winery, Yalumba wines have a style all of their own and each have been influenced by a diverse range of elements that cannot be emulated by any other winery. Chief winemaker, Louisa Rose, will take you through a selection of great wines and explain what makes them unique.

    In an interactive session, winemaker Aurelio Montes Jr explains how he blends four different varietals to create the final blend, the renowned Montes Alpha M.

    Aurelio will then present the current vintage of Alpha M and an older vintage to show the evolution of the wines.

    This masterclass will bring this legendary group together in London for the first time in more than 20 years. Meet the five great names of Bordeaux: Charles Chevallier of Château Lafite, Paul Pontallier of Château Margaux, Frédéric Engerer of Château Latour, Hervé Berland of Château Mouton Rothschild and Jean-Phillipe Delmas of Château Haut-Brion. They will personally guide you through this iconic tasting where two wines from each château will be poured. The tasting of a lifetime.*

    1.30 Brunello di Montalcino: A Discovery of Terroir                                                          SOLD OUT

    Speaker: Ian D'Agata 

    One of the world’s greatest wines, Brunello di Montalcino – much like Bordeaux and Burgundy – features clear-cut differences depending on the sub-zone in which the wines are produced. Ian D’Agata will lead you through Montalcino’s regions explaining the distinct characteristics they bring to the wines. The tasting will focus predominantly on two great vintages, 2004 and 1999 .

    Join Essi Avellan MW, Finland’s first Master of Wine and editor of Fine Champagne magazine, to discover the exciting and much-praised cuvées from some of Champagne’s finest vintages. Learn about the esteemed Champagne houses and growers responsible for producing these outstanding wines. Recently returned from Reims, where she was researching her forthcoming book Travelling in Champagne, Essi will be focusing on regionality, the houses, single-vineyard wines, and the growers, in what promises to be a memorable Champagne masterclass.

    One of California’s most famous wineries, Opus One was founded by Baron Philippe de Rothschild of Château Mouton Rothschild and renowned Napa Valley vintner Robert Mondavi. Winemaker Michael Silacci has been responsible for nine of its 31 remarkable vintages, and will lead you through a compelling vertical tasting highlighting the three distinct stages of Opus One’s evolution.The tasting will showcase a magnificent selection of vintages.

     

     

     

    4.00 Half a Century of Superlative Port                                                                                 SOLD OUT                                                            

    Speakers: Paul Symington & Johnny Symington

    Very few producers can claim a heritage like the Symingtons in making the world’s greatest Ports. With a history spanning five centuries, this family-owned and run business receives consistently high scores from the world’s top critics. In this masterclass Paul Symington and his cousin Johnny, will present a line-up of rare vintage Ports, including Dow’s 1966, Graham’s 1963 and Warre’s 1960, of which there are only a few cases left. The tasting will conclude with the exceptionally rare Graham’s 1955. A tasting on this scale is unlikely ever to be repeated due to the scarcity of the wines.
