She is an industry veteran having spent more than 10 years working in the digital space spanning both the United States as well as in Asia and across the web and mobile.
    Prior to joining STDM, Varsha was Vice President/General Manager of Old Navy Online, one of the leading ecommerce businesses within the US where she grew the business by nearly 100% over 2 years. Her internet career began in 1998 when she co-founded Eve.com, an e-commerce beauty and accessories website. Her interest in the digital space crystallized during her stint at McKinsey & Co. where she co-authored a paper entitled: Internet Advertising: New Medium or New Marketing Paradigm, McKinsey Quarterly, August 2007.
    She hopes to bring the advertiser and publisher's perspective to the IAB as she's held roles in both these capacities. Also, in addition to the web, she'd like to help further the development of mobile advertising, an exciting emerging platform.

    Pratyush Prasanna

Since then he has worked in Microsoft’s mobile strategy team with special focus on the mobile productivity applications and emerging markets.     Wong Meng Weng recently moved to Singapore after three years in Silicon Valley, ten years in Philadelphia, and three years in Vancouver.  During this time, he founded two Internet dot-coms, led the SPF opensource standard to successful worldwide rollout, and learned several important lessons about early-stage entrepreneurship.  His two previous ventures, pobox.com and karmasphere.com, explored the email security industry and developed reputation systems for the Internet.  He is an expert on email authentication and Internet reputation systems.  He was the keynote speaker at the Japan Anti-Spam summit in 2004 and has participated in IETF, APNIC, and MAAWG working groups.

    In Singapore, Meng is an active angel investor and a member of the board of directors of the Business Angel Network of South-East Asia.  His business network spans Beijing, Shanghai, and Malaysia, but he is most familiar with the startup ecosystem in Singapore, having designed a map of the capital markets  for the Media Entrepreneurs Guide to Singapore .  His current investment strategy focuses on Internet start-ups in Singapore and China that are based on deeply original technologies.  These start-ups must exploit or answer a fundamental human need.  He believes that after Web 2.0, energy, and biotech, the next rich wave of investment will be in the area of secular ethics, or "Religion 2.0".

For six years he led product development efforts across the region and managed the production, engineering, surfing and customer care teams. His successful product launches span the range of Yahoo!'s services including search, media, commerce, communications, mobile and community products all scaled to handle millions of users per day. He also played significant roles cutting deals with partners, crafting business strategy and shaping Yahoo!s global product strategies. Under his direction, Yahoo! has become the #1 Internet destination across the region.
    Even before his involvement with Yahoo! Travel, Ross was no stranger to the travel industry. He joined the Australian Tourist Commission in Sydney in 1992 initially as a strategic analyst responsible for crunching data and writing intelligence reports on the world's travel markets. With the release of the Mosaic browser in 1993, Ross immediately saw the travel marketing potential of the Internet and drove efforts that led to the launch of the pioneering and multi-award winning australia.com destination marketing site.
    Ross became one of the pioneers at Bezurk (now wego.com) in 2005. He has lived and worked in Sydney, London, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore and has travelled extensively. He enjoys getting off the beaten track with a backpack but also indulging in luxury travel of all descriptions.

    Rohit Dadwal is Managing Director (MD) for the Mobile Marketing Association’s Asia Pacific (APAC) branch, running the regional headquarters in Singapore. With over 16 years of industry experience, Rohit joined the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) in November 2008. Prior to taking charge of MMA’s APAC activities, Rohit spent 8 years working with Microsoft and contributed to the growth of MMA as a board member. In his role as MD, Rohit has been working to build a sustainable ecosystem for the mobile marketing industry in the Asia Pacific region, promoting the MMA as the leading association for region-wide consultation on key industry issues such as measurement and metrics, mobile advertising guidelines, codes of conduct and consumer best practices.
    Prior to joining the MMA, Rohit was Director for Platform, Mobile and One Care (PMO) for Microsoft (Windows Live) Asia Pacific. Before this he spent 4 years with MSN India looking after both portal and mobile business, where he was responsible for driving innovation and pro-activity in the digital and mobile space; embracing new business models and technologies and working with bands to effectively communicate and expand routes to market. Yinglan had previously been the first Director for China, 3i Venturelab, INSEAD, a joint-venture between private equity firm 3i (LSE:III) and INSEAD where he worked closely with senior management in Asia to develop and manage growth strategies i.e. IPO and M&A opportunities. He has served on boards of growth ventures in Asia and a U.S. private-equity fund of funds. Yinglan teaches modules on Entrepreneurial Finance and Entrepreneurial Management at Singapore Management University and he has been featured on China Central TV (China’s largest TV network), Dragon TV, The Deal, China Daily, Korean Times, Business FM 89.9 (Malaysian), The Edge (Singapore) and Business Lines (India).     Prior to Vocanic, Ian was MD for Informative Asia Pacific working on customer dialogue and Influence marketing projects for brands such as Zuji, DBS Bank, HP, Nokia, BP, and Mars brands such as Cesar, Pedigree, Starburst, M&Ms and others.
    Originally from the UK, Ian has called Singapore home for the last 10 years.

    Greg joined Intel's marketing team in 1996 and currently leads advertising, media and marketing services in Asia-Pacific.     He brings an extensive history of developing integrated marketing campaigns including holistic communication plans and creative strategies intended to increase brand awareness, sales and market share.
    Ulf Waschbusch

    Ulf received his MBA at Stanford University in 2006 and until recently worked at Google in Mountain View, CA as a Product Marketing Manager for Google Mobile. He then joined MySpace to run their mobile product operations. Ulf recently joined South East Asian gaming platform startup Garena to run their product organization.

    Romulo, or ’Je’, oversees the gaming platform of BuzzCity entitled ’Djuzz’. He has helped build the platform from ground up through the development and management of the portal’s global presence and the creation and expansion of strategic partnerships in several regions. Je’s main areas of focus are strategy, IT and business development. Je’s prior experiences include games design and development, mobile product management, and technology research.     As CEO of Webvisions, Roger is a pioneer of the Asia-Pacific web hosting industry, and has expanded the company from a small startup of three partners to over 100 employees in 2008. Since the company's founding 11 years ago, Webvisions has expanded its customer base from 50 in the first year to over 20,000 by early 2008. Webvisions expects to post revenues close to S$20million this year.
    Among Roger's accomplishments are the execution of successful first and second-round funding, the rollout of one of Singapore's first commercial Internet Data Center facilities and multi-country hosting operations. In 2007, Roger led the company's overseas expansion in its aggressive development of its China customer base through key acquisitions of hosting companies. Roger is also responsible for charting the company's direction, including its strategic planning, technical engineering and financial management.

    Wong Meng Weng recently moved to Singapore after three years in Silicon Valley, ten years in Philadelphia, and three years in Vancouver.  During this time, he founded two Internet dot-coms, led the SPF opensource standard to successful worldwide rollout, and learned several important lessons about early-stage entrepreneurship.  His two previous ventures, pobox.com and karmasphere.com, explored the email security industry and developed reputation systems for the Internet.  He is an expert on email authentication and Internet reputation systems.  He was the keynote speaker at the Japan Anti-Spam summit in 2004 and has participated in IETF, APNIC, and MAAWG working groups.

    In Singapore, Meng is an active angel investor and a member of the board of directors of the Business Angel Network of South-East Asia.  His business network spans Beijing, Shanghai, and Malaysia, but he is most familiar with the startup ecosystem in Singapore, having designed a map of the capital markets  for the Media Entrepreneurs Guide to Singapore .  His current investment strategy focuses on Internet start-ups in Singapore and China that are based on deeply original technologies.  These start-ups must exploit or answer a fundamental human need.  He believes that after Web 2.0, energy, and biotech, the next rich wave of investment will be in the area of secular ethics, or "Religion 2.0".
