This conference is part of the cooperation between different
partners committed to promoting democracy, human rights and the rule
of law as well as social cohesion and intercultural dialogue, and
their belief in the key role of education in furthering these goals.
The conference will also be a part of the events marking the 200th
anniversary of the University of Oslo.
Aims and objectives:
· To strengthen the role of higher education in
furthering democratic citizenship
· To identify concretely
the role that higher education can play in reimagining democratic
societies
· To stress the importance of the involvement of
the different stakeholders: academic, administrations, students, local
communities etc
· To develop further strategies to
strengthen this role

Cette conférence s’inscrit dans le cadre de la
coopération entre les différents partenaires
engagés à promouvoir la Démocratie, les Droits de
l’Homme et l’Etat de Droit ainsi que le dialogue
interculturel visant à renforcer le lien social et la justice;
partenaires unis dans leur certitude du rôle clé de
l’Education dans la réalisation de ces objectifs. Cette
conférence est aussi un des événements visant
à marquer le bicentenaire de l’Université d’Oslo.
Buts et les objectifs:
· Renforcer le rôle de l’enseignement
supérieur dans l’approfondissement de la
citoyenneté démocratique
· Identifier de
manière concrète le rôle que peut jouer
l’Enseignement Supérieur afin de réinventer les
sociétés démocratiques
· Souligner
l’importance de l’engagement des différents
partenaires: membres du monde académique, administrations,
étudiants, communautés
· Développer
des stratégies visant à souligner leur rôle
