  • Impact AppVirt on VDI (Project VRC phase IV)

    Project VRC is an independent research project, initiated by Login Consultants and PQR, which focuses on the impact of virtualization technologies on the scalability of your IT environment. In phase IV, the team has researched the impact of application virtualization technologies on scalability. Ruben will show you the results of these tests, where a distinction is made between Microsoft App-V, Citrix XenApp and VMware's ThinApp.

  • Troubleshooting & Common Issues by the App-V Support Team

    Sebastian and Madelinde will present some of the common issues, which are reported to the Microsoft Support team. Furthermore they will show you the basics of how to troubleshoot App-V and give you some hints on how to stay out of trouble. Madelinde and Sebastian will also give you some more detailed insight in how the Microsoft Support Team in general works.

  • Future: App-V in Configuration Manager 2012

    What are the biggest differences between App-V integration in the current release of Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (2007) and the upcoming release of Configuration Manager 2012, which is currently still in beta2. Are there any improvements or concerns? Can our current application portfolio quietly be migrated to the new distribution platform? In this demo-rich session these questions and more will be answered.

    Dynamic Suite Composition is the killer feature to allow inter-application communication between separate App-V packages. In this session, Falko Gräfe unveils some unexpected technical characteristics of DSC and discusses the pros and cons.

    In this session Rodney Medina will discuss if you need to apply User State Virtualization principles if you are heavily using App-V for application deployment.
