Twestival (ou Twitter Festival) utilises les média sociaux
pour le bien en connectant les communautés hors-ligne pour une
journée pour souligner une cause noble et avoir du plaisir en
le faisant Twestival est la levée de fond globale originale des
média sociaux. Depuis 2009, nos bénévoles ont
amassés pres de 1.2 million de dolars pour 137 organisation a
but non-lucratif. Tout les évenements locaux sont
organisés a 100% par des bénévoles et 100% des
vents de billets et dons vont directement aux projets.
Twestival est né de l'idée que si les villes
pouvaient collaborer ensemble à une échelle
internationale mais avoir des résultats locaux, l'impact
pourraient etre massif. Plus de 200 villes au travers le monde, de
Buenos Aires à Bangalore, Seattle à Séoul et Hong
Kong à Honolulu ont participé au Twestival.
Twestival Local 2011 est une opportunité en or pour
assembler la communauté autours d'une meme cause. Le festival
est plus qu'une levée de fond, mais tout l'argent amassé
sera dépensé a Montréal.

Twestival® (or Twitter Festival) uses social media for social
good by connecting communities off-line on a single day to highlight a
great cause and have a fun event. Twestival is the largest global
grass roots social media fundraising initiative to date. Since 2009,
volunteers have raised close to $1.2 million for 137 non-profits. All
local events are organized 100% by volunteers and 100% of all ticket
sales and donations go direct to projects.
Twestival was born out of the idea that if cities were able to
collaborate on an international scale, but work from a local level, it
could have a spectacular impact. Over 200 international cities from
Buenos Aires to Bangalore, Seattle to Seoul and Hong Kong to Honolulu
have participated in Twestival.
Twestival Local 2011 is a great opportunity to bring the community
together. The day is about more than fundraising, but all money raised
will go directly to a local charity, that means 100% of the funds will
be spent in Montreal.
This year, the chosen charity is Dans La Rue.
