The upcoming Twestival in Hong Kong is different from the last one
held in February. Last time we met, 68 of HK’s Twitter users
helped (in our own small way) make clean drinking water available for
17,000 people who were living without.
This time our focus is local.
For us in Hong Kong being ‘local’ means making this event
truly bilingual. It’s about bridging the gap between the
English-tweeting and the Canto-tweeting communities. It’s about
coming together to share in the Twitter craze, make new friends and
enjoy a night of great bilingual entertainment.
Our mission is to channel our Twestival’s bilingual harmony
into a cause that provides second-language training for Hong Kong
orphan’s. If all goes according to plan, we hope to raise more
than HK$20,000 for the PLK Language Training Centre.
