Welcome to Twestival Global 2010
DC Twestival
Twestival was formed by Amanda Rose and facilitated by social
media. "By using social media platforms such as Twitter,
Twestival is able to connect hundreds of independent local events into
a powerful global initiative" said Amanda Rose. In 2009 through
volunteers across the globe Twestival was able to raise $250,000 and
present these funds to Charity:Water! The fruits
of our fundraising, tweets, Facebook activity and social skills made
it possible to see four water wells built to provide clean drinking
water. Absolutely phenomenal!
Its that time again for the global outreach from cities across the
globe to pool efforts across social media and lend a hand to
Concern Worldwide. If its
any indication from the success of last year's Global and Local
events, DC Twestival is set to mark another milestone in social
media and social giving history. We invite you to join us on March
25th to support education in impoverished countries and help Concern
do things like build schools, programs for primary education
involving literacy and numeracy, and ensuring education is equally
available to girls and boys.

Event Details:
On March 25th, we will have local corporate and media sponsors at the
exclusive, tech shiny Shadow Room to support Concern Worldwide. The
first hour will be open bar sponsored by a local spirits product as
well as passed hors d'oeuvres. Media coverage will be provided by
WUSA9
TV and DC's favorite social in-the-know site,
DC Metromix! We will also be live
streaming across the globe through our Ustream channel
and paparazzi will be present to document the fun. Special
giveaway prizes and plenty of opportunity to network with DC's hot
