Calgary Twestival has a trivia
night planned including some questions about Calgary social
media trivia. Compete with your local tweeps for prizes or
just come and cheer them on. Enter to compete for an additional
$25.00 when you purchase your ticket to the event.
Get your ticketsfor $14.00, two for $28.00. Why $28.00? $28.00 is what it would
cost to supply a child with what they need for one year's
education in a country where Concern Worldwide operates. Concern Worldwide is the
charity chosen by Twestival
(Int'l) for this year's event, March 25.
Everyone who purchases their
ticket online will be eligible for a draw prize that involves
dinner for two and limo to and from the Firewater Pub and Eatery,
courtesy of the Firewater Group.
On the night of the event, come
early. Doors open at 5 pm so that you can take advantage of the
Firewater’s happy hour prices - and catch the Flames game.
Otherwise people will be gathering at 6 pm for the start of the
stage events at 7 pm.
Twestival Int'l was started a year
ago by Canadian, Amanda Rose. Twitter users in cities round the
world get together in person and raise money. This is the third
Calgary Twestival.
Amiando and PayPal
have waived all of their fees for event registration to ensure
100% of the amount raised goes directly to Concern Worldwide.
We have put out a
call for submissions for a crowdsourced multi-media, social media
digital book, Social Media - by example, with help from rapidBOOKS
with proceeds going to Concern Worldwide from Calgary Twestival. Check it out
