Local 2011 Victoria, an evening of mixing, mingling, music and fun
as we fundraise for the Victoria Cool Aid Society.
Our generous hosts The Bengal Lounge
at the Fairmont Empress Hotel have provided the venue, musicians are
lined up to entertain you, and there will be opportunities to bid on
fabulous silent auction items donated by local businesses and individuals.
Every ticket includes a chance to win amazing door prizes.

The Victoria Cool Aid Society has been building hope, lives and
community in the Capital Region for over 42 years, since 1968, through
a wide range of programs including supported housing, emergency
shelter, community health and dental services, employment services,
mental health support, and recreation and exercise programs for adults
who are homeless or in need of help.
Funds raised by Twestival Victoria 2011 will be used to purchase
public access computer equipment for the Downtown Community Centre and
lunch food for Cool Aid’s Sandy Merriman House emergency

In September 2009, the inaugural
Twestival Victoria, #yyjtwestival raised $5000 for Power To Be
Adventure Therapy Society, a local Victoria not for profit providing
outdoor experiences to youth and adults with disabilities.In March
2010 the local Victoria Twitter community raised over $8000 for
Concern Worldwide.
We placed 8th in fundraising per
capita and were 16th worldwide in total donations. Can we do better
in 2011? Your #yyjtwestival team is excited to see the possibilities.
Volunteers are always welcome. We
have opportunities for photographers, videographers, live bloggers,

Even if you are not able to attend,
you can make a donation on the "tickets" page. Every
dollar raised through ticket sales goes directly to the Victoria
Cool Aid Society - there are no administration fees charged by
Amiando, our ticketing partner.
