DESCRIPTION:The RMA Annual Research Students’ Conference will take place 
 at the \nUniversity of Hull (Middleton Hall) from 5–7 January 2012.\nIt 
 will include the Jerome Roche Prize Lecture by David Irving (University 
 \nof Cambridge) and the Peter Le Huray Lecture by Professor Martin Cloon
 an \n(University of Glasgow).\nThe event will feature advisory workshops
  in the following areas:\n    * Publishing (Editor\, JRMA\, Professor Ra
 chel Cowgill\, University of\n      Cardiff)\,\n    * Postgraduate train
 ing (Director\, IMR\, Dr Paul Archbold)\,\n    * RMA activities (RMA Mem
 bership and Development Officer\, Helen Thomas)\n      and\n    * Fundin
 g (RMA President\, Professor Mark Everist).\n \nRoundtable discussion ab
 out directions in music research will be led by \nProfessor Christopher 
 Wilson (University of Hull).\nDelegates will be given the opportunity to
  sign up for individual C.V. \nsessions with established scholars from t
