Viadeo
will host
an evening of networking, kicking off with a welcome and drinks
reception with a guest speaker sharing their thoughts on this much
debated topic. The evening will continue with networking between
the invited guests involved in the advertising and digital media space.
Guest Speaker:
Micheal
Nutley - Editor-in-Chief, New Media Age
Michael
Nutley has been a business journalist for 25 years, covering a
number of areas including software, telecommunications,
construction and leisure. He took over as editor of New Media
Age in July 2000, and was promoted to editor-in-chief in 2007. As
editor-in-chief he maintains a strategic overview of the
entire new media sector, from both a client and a service
provider perspective. He is also particularly interested in
the convergence of TV and the internet, and
the transformative effect of interactive media on
organisations.
Speaker Notes:
‘The rise of social media and the disappearance of advertising’
Social media has put pressure on
marketers like never before. The world of networked communications
has undermined the brand and put the focus back on the product or
service, and sent advertisers chasing the new goal of engagement.
Combine this with the increased application of data, and the
advertising of the future won’t look like any advertising
we’ve ever seen before.
