Participants will learn how to make
decorated personalised gift stationary and wrappings, using various
wrapping ideas, designs and gift decorations. We will also learn how
to make simple gift boxes and bags, how to use various decorative
techniques, design themed gift presentations for children and events
to add the finishing touch to simple and homemade gifts using clever
fancy wrapping. All essential materials are provided, and before the
workshop participants will be asked to collect ‘stuff’
with potential, (guidelines will be provided); many of the materials
we use will be ‘found’ or inexpensive. Participants will
learn techniques they can use at home and will receive a worksheet
with instructions to take away with them. All materials for producing the
samples and learning the techniques will be provided, as well as
worksheets and resource information. Participants will be encouraged
to use found and recycled material so you might want to start
collecting! We would recommend also that participants bring with
them a plain page notebook to keep ideas and personal notes.
Suitable clothing should be worn; latex gloves will be provided as required.
Worksheets will be provided during
the course.
