HUAWEI is a leader in
providing next generation telecommunications networks, and
now serves 45 of the world's top 50 operators, along with
over one billion users worldwide.
The R&D Center from
HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES is a new landmark in the Pudong
district. It is designed by the famous architectural firm
SOM, which also designed the Jin Mao Tower and was only
opened in May 2010. Representing new heights of
architecture, design and technology, the building
accommodates 8.000 people and is a showcase of environmental
protection and energy saving.
The center features an
exhibition hall that demonstrates how our innovative
technologies play a key role in furthering this year’s
Expo theme of “Better City, Better Life”. HUAWEI
shows how national broadband solutions facilitate economic
development and bridge the digital divide. We also
illustrate how innovative green communications technologies
are helping to save energy, reduce emissions, and encourage
sustainable development.
