  • Description

Special guest on April the 17th March - Sun Gong practitioner from Cork, trained by Grand Gong Master: Don Conreaux and Gong Master Tom Soltron.

The gong bath is a one hour immersion in sacred and healing sound wherein the gong-master activates the full sonic potential of the gong and bathes the listener with sustained waves of primordial sound. During a gong bath, listeners typically experience a sense of connectedness and peace as the sacred sound of the gong clears blockages and restores the free flow of vital energy throughout the body. With its ability to induce a spontaneous meditative state, the gong offers listeners access to parts of the mind that are usually closed, resulting in a sense of expanded awareness and higher consciousness.

Gong sound can be used to rebalance and tone the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies. It is an excellent therapy for stress related issues, depression, fatigue, anger and hostility, feelings of fear, separation and loneliness, along with many other conditions related to the lack of balance and harmony in the body.

Not all gongs are alike. The Venus Gong is a rare and magnificent instrument, a large, 24-inch gong harmonically tuned to the vibration of the primordial AUM, the Universal Chord, the source of all vibrations, and to the fundamental vibration of Planet Venus as she revolves around the Sun.
The Venus Gong produces an incredible depth of frequency and harmonic complexity that is unmatched by any other contemporary gong.

Benefits of the Venus Gong Bath:

•induces an instantaneous state of meditation by calming the mind and stopping the internal dialogue

•creates an immediate state of relaxation and release of tension

•stimulates the circulatory and glandular systems

•rebalances the physical, emotional and spiritual bodies

•helps clear energetic and emotional blockages

    •regenerates the parasympathetic nervous system

•awakens higher states of consciousness conducive to healing and transformation

Marta has always been interested in a holistic approach to life; therefore she has been working hard to deepen her knowledge and improve her skills in this field. The wonderful properties of the Tibetan Singing Bowls amazed and encouraged her to obtain certification from the Institute of Sound Massage Therapy in Unzen which entitles her to practice "Sound Massage According to Peter Hess®". She is also certified in Reiki, Hopi Ear Candling and Hot Stone Massage.

Marta has been practicing the Sound Massage therapy for four years. She has worked in a wide range of different settings, like day centres, hospices, where she worked with people who suffer from dementia, children and adults with learning disabilities and people in palliative care.

Last year Marta launched the music therapy sessions in the Dublin Holistic Centre, which was met with a great interest amongst the participants and her workshops have been extremely popular since. In March 2011 Marta commenced conducting group workshops and individual therapeutic sessions in the Health Plex Holistic Centre in Artane and in a Day Activity Centre at St. John of God in Tallagh, during which she uses the Tibetan Bowls and a Tibetan Gong. The participants of those, including the teenagers, find the sound therapy relaxing and calming. Marta also received a positive feedback from the patients who struggle with all kinds of physical pain, heart problems, anxiety and stress.

Marta graduated in Arts and Teaching from the University of Silesia in Poland with a First Class Honours Degree.
