This is a project-based course
covering breaking news, features and narrative journalism and is
designed to help participants move from first concept to the final
self-edit. Students will learn how to generate ideas, find markets,
report and to how to use story telling techniques to make their work
appealing and publishable.
Tutor Biography
Carole Craig
has written regularly for The Wall Street Journal, Business
Week, The Economist Intelligence Unit, ABC Radio News, The
Financial Times, The Boston Globe, The BBC and others too
numerous to mention. As well as Ireland, she has worked and
resided i the US, Egypt, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Turkey.
She is lectured in journalism at third level and genuinely
enjoys teaching. Samples of her writing can be found on carolecraigandco.ie.
