Palmer House Hilton, Chicago
We're proud to host CIOsynergy in Chicago on Aug 23rd; the home of one of our 5 US CIO communities. Named the fourth most important business center in the world in the MasterCard Worldwide Centers of Commerce Index, the City of Chicago hosts 12 Fortune Global 500 companies and 17 Financial Times 500 companies. The city claims one Dow 30 company: aerospace giant Boeing, two more Dow 30 companies, Kraft Foods and McDonalds are in Chicago suburbs, as are Sears Holdings Corporation and the technology spin-offs of Motorola. Chicago is also home to United Continental Holdings, and its United Airlines subsidiary, a perfect city to incubate IT thought leadership through CIOsynergy.
Over 100 IT leaders will join us on Aug 23, 2012 in Chicago; these IT leaders represent both the fortune and vast mid-market enterprise community within the Chicago metro area. An afternoon of unparalleled networking in an ultimate learning environment with the CIOs of Chicago's enterprise arena.

Our keynote, Dom Sagolla is the co-creator of Twitter and has been in research and development at HP Laboratories, the MIT Media Lab, and Adobe Systems. He helped build Macromedia Studio, Odeo Studio, the original Twitter, Adobe Creative Suite, and now produces iPhone apps with his company DollarApp in San Francisco. From here we will get a lesson in business innovation collated over a career of experience from Dom, a serial innovator that has walked the line from concept to creation several times.
Scott Shuster - ABC News foreign correspondent. Producer of NPR's All Things Considered. Consulting Editor, The McGraw-Hill Companies and BusinessWeek. Scott's remarkable background and prodigious skills onstage make him the right choice to serve as moderator to the CIOpanel.

Scott Shuster has led virtually every BusinessWeek CEO, CFO, and CIO conference held since the founding of the magazine's events group -- more than 100 of the world's most prominent gatherings of large-company leaders and senior executives.
The CIOpanel has been a staple ingredient of CIOsynergy since its inception 4 yrs ago. Here we pick 5 CIOs who have demonstrated operational excellence within the organization they serve. We look to these CIOs for guidance on what challenges they are facing, what technologies have they adopted over the past year that have elevated and morphed the operating platform of their businesses, and what are their lessons learned.
Are they innovating, divesting, or securing? We will find out on August 23 with the help of the CIOpanel.
